What a trip!

I returned from the most amazing trip of my life (so far) almost a week ago and yet I haven't written anything yet. Don't take this to mean I don't have anything to say....it's actually the opposite. I had such and great time visiting Jess in the DR and we did so many new and wonderful things that I haven't done before that I am finding it hard to condense my trip in to something readable.
We went waterfall jumping, hiking in the jungle, dancing, walking in the coffee fields, visited a ton of people, riding motos and in the back of guaguas (trucks) with 15 other people, in the rain, holding on to a propane tank, on a winding mountain road partially wiped out by landslides. That's the short and sweet of our week and doesn't begin to cover it.

I loved the culture and the people and the pace of life. It was great to experience a life style where things happen when they happened and if things don't work out you just move on.

I had such an amazing time and it was so great to be able to see Jess that I am taking off from work a week early and going back before I leave for Burkina Faso.
